Deb Millette · Facilities Management Consulting

Operations must be measured to be improved.

I help multi-location organizations bring control metrics, the right facilities technology and disciplined process to their facilities programs — after 35 years in facilities management, including 28 at CVS Health running 12,000+ properties and more than a million services a year.

Problems this practice exists to fix

Four problems that recur across multi-location facilities programs, and the lever that moves each one.

Facilities costs keep rising and nobody can explain why.

Control metrics and spend analytics that make the portfolio legible — so a number that moves has a reason attached to it.

We bought an FM platform and it never delivered what was promised.

Evaluation, implementation oversight and adoption work for enterprise FM software, from someone who has been the customer and the vendor.

Every site does it differently.

Standardized process and work-order discipline across a multi-location portfolio, written so the hundredth site runs like the first.

We have data everywhere and insight nowhere.

Dashboards and benchmarks that turn service data into decisions a facilities leader can defend in a budget meeting.

How I work with clients

Four engagement areas. Most work starts with the first one and narrows from there.

01

Facilities Program Assessment

A clear-eyed look at how your facilities program actually runs today, and a prioritized plan for what to fix first.

For: Facilities, real estate and store-operations leaders who inherited a program, are absorbing new sites, or know something is wrong but cannot yet name it.

What you get

  • A written findings document, in plain language, with the evidence behind each finding.
  • A metric baseline you can measure the next twelve months against.
  • A prioritized 90-day plan with an order of operations and an owner for each item.

02

FM Technology Advisory

Choosing, implementing and actually adopting enterprise FM software — from someone who has been the customer and the vendor.

For: Organizations selecting an FM or work-order platform, midway through a rollout that has stalled, or several years into a system nobody uses the way it was sold.

What you get

  • A requirements document written in your language and defensible to procurement.
  • A vendor evaluation scorecard with the weighting fixed up front.
  • Implementation oversight, configuration review and an adoption plan with tracking.

03

Analytics, Control Metrics and Cost Optimization

The control metrics that make a facilities portfolio legible, and the dashboards that keep it that way.

For: Leaders who have data in an FM platform, a finance system and a dozen spreadsheets, and no single view they trust.

What you get

  • A documented control-metric set with definitions, owners and thresholds.
  • Working dashboards and recurring reporting, in your tooling.
  • A benchmark baseline and a tracked savings pipeline.

04

Digital Transformation and Process Standardization

Making a change to the operating model stick across hundreds of sites — not just in the deck that announced it.

For: Multi-location organizations standardizing operations after growth, acquisition, or a decade of local improvisation.

What you get

  • A documented target process and the standards that support it.
  • A change plan sequenced by region, site type or vendor.
  • Adoption tracking with thresholds and a review cadence.

Measure, align, improve

01

Measure

Establish the control metrics that make the program visible. You cannot manage a portfolio you cannot see.

02

Align

Point people, process and technology at the same numbers, so the system and the team agree on what good looks like.

03

Improve

Continuous, measured process improvement — not a one-off project that decays the month after it ships.

Facilities are a strategic asset, not just a cost center. Deb Millette
04

What an engagement looks like

Most work starts small and gets more specific as the picture sharpens.

01

A 30-minute conversation

A conversation about your portfolio, what is not working, and whether I am the right person for it.

02

A short assessment

A focused look at operations, vendors, work-order flow and the metrics you have today — and the ones you do not.

03

A written plan with metrics

Findings, a baseline you can measure against, and a prioritized plan with the order of operations spelled out.

04

Advisory or hands-on delivery

Either I stay alongside your team through the work, or I hand it over and check in. Your call.

About Deb Millette

With over 35 years in facility management, I have built my career on a simple premise: operations must be measured to be improved.

During my 28-year tenure at CVS Health, I managed an immense portfolio of 12,000+ properties, overseeing more than 1 million services annually. Operating at that scale demands absolute precision, robust control metrics, and a relentless focus on continuous process improvement.

Most recently, I spent 6 years at ServiceChannel driving digital transformation in FM. I guided enterprise organizations through the complex intersection of people, process, and technology. Now I bring that deep, cross-industry expertise directly to my clients — helping them build resilient, data-driven facilities programs.
